Agra, India

April 17, 2017

Our driver, Rama, picked us up really early in the morning from our hotel in Vrindavan and we never looked back. We were so disappointed with our experience in there that we just wanted to put it behind us and hope that our next destinations were better. Our time in Agra was our shortest one yet, just about 20 hours. After all, we were mostly after one thing... to witness the grandiosity of the Taj Mahal in person.  Since the day was young we decided to stop by the Agra Fort first. We saw many forts throughout our trip but this one was my favorite one.

After that we went to visit the amazing carpet artists at the Mughal Carpet Company where we ended up walking away with a beautiful addition for our little loft back home. Now, we originally were planning on visiting the Taj at sunrise the next day but our driver advised us against it due to the low visibility alerts caused by the heavy morning fog that Agra was experiencing that week. It's a good thing we listened to him because seeing the Taj Mahal surrounded by the colors of sunset was one of the most magical sights I have ever witnessed.
